The Present Study Assess The Land Use Pattern For The Nations Of South Asian Association For Regional Cooperation (saarc) Presented By Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, The Maldives, Pakistan And Sri Lanka. The Assessment Of Land-use Is A Cumbersome Process For A Larger Area However, In Recent Decades The Satellite Based Earth Observation Products Have Provided A Great Impetus For The Land Use Classification. Various Methods Have Been Attempted Using Satellite Based Observations For This Purpose. The Present Paper Describes A Novel Method Using Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (modis)-derived Time Series Data And Multinomial Logit Model (mnlogit) For The Classification Of Agriculture, Forestry And Other Land Use (afolu).
